2009 Hyundai Accent SE 3-Door : Good gas mileage (reviews)

 2009 Hyundai Accent SE 3-Door

I have a Sonata, Santa Fe and now the Accent. Sporty feel, solid ride for a compact and the details in the styling of the 3-door SE are subtle and captivating. Have put 700 miles on and 25mph in town, pushing it through the gears (5speed manual) and 32mpg hway pushing 80mph in Florida with the air on. Seems to stay above 30mpg even pushing it a little over 85mph. Ride seems to smooth out at the higher speeds and the engine noise better at 3800 rpm than at 3200.

2009 Hyundai Accent GLS 4-Door

I have a 2006 accent and it's perhaps the best car I have yet to own. My previous car was a Corolla which I liked very much for the value and fuel economy. Since I've had this car I am very glad I made the change. This car drives, handles, and is a better "bang for your buck". I consistantly get 30+ MPG and have hit 40 a few times. I did have an electrical problem with the brake switch but other than that it's just the usual oil change and what not. The interior is fairly roomy for a small car. Also, I finally have an arm rest, thank you Hyundai, which was the final selling point.

The fuel economy is great, rides good for a small car, and i can vouch for crash test rating, I hit a 2008 mustang at about 40mph and I walked away, the other driver was taken by ambulance. I will buy another one just like it as soon as settlement with insurance is over.
