2009 BMW 328i reviews

2009 BMW 328i is Great car, but it is hard for me to see why I need the wagon version. I'll have to review the exact specs, but I wonder just how much extra cargo capacity the wagon gives over the sedan. And since I would expect most of that capacity to come thanks to the higher trunk space, it might mean it is really only handy when moving something taller than you might fit in the sedan. But then again, if you have pets or a need to haul around large bags, the space would be useful, as it would be for a small family. I didn't notice any chassis imbalances as Bob mentions, but I also didn't get a chance to take this car out for an extended, hard test drive.

But you do not have to drive it for long to notice Raynal's ongoing complaint about the run-flats' ride quality. I can live with it, but I can see why it would put off a lot of people. It is a shame that BMW has spent untold years perfecting the ride/handling formula so many love, only to sacrifice a chunk of the ride portion simply because of the OEM tire choice. I'm also not wowed by this engine.

It's mega-smooth, as usual with BMW inline-sixes, but this wagon--as with all 3-series--would really come alive if you could get the 3.0-liter twin-turbo engine in it. ( MOTORSPORTS EDITOR MAC MORRISON )
